Match Analysis :
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 16th match of Vivo IPL 2021 on Thursday, 22nd April, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Off to the best possible start with three wins on the trot, a confident Royal Challengers Bangalore will hope to keep the juggernaut rolling when they take on Rajasthan Royals in Match 16 of IPL 2021 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday. (April 22). Both sides have endured contrasting campaigns so far.

On the other hand, the Royals have managed to win only one of their three fixtures. They lost to Chennai Super Kings in their previous match to slip down to the sixth spot. Sanju Samson and his men will be eyeing a second win. RR were struck another blow after their heavy loss to CSK as Liam Livingstone pulled out of the tournament, citing bubble fatigue. That comes after Ben Stokes sustained a broken finger in the season opener, ruling him out of the season. The Royals are yet to name replacements for the duo and could use this opportunity to strengthen some weak areas in their roster.
The Pink team is yet to fire as a team and their last defeat against the Chennai would have put them under tremendous pressure. In that game, their bowling and fielding were excellent but the bowlers lost their tempo at the death and batsman failed to come to the party. Their bowling impressed in spurts, with young pacer Chetan Sakariya continuing his promising start to his IPL career
Captain Sanju Samson has been inconsistent as well. After scoring a hundred in just the first match, he has had two low scores. David Miller and Chris Morris did well against Delhi Capitals (DC) but much more is expected from the rest of the Indian batsmen— Shivam Dube, Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia.
Meanwhile, RCB's over-dependence on Kohli and ABD seems to have reduced this season, as Maxwell has their highest run-scorer so far. Their bowling attack looks very potent as well, with Daniel Sams likely to strengthen the team even more. RCB put on a whopping 204/4 on a dry and sluggish Chennai track and steamrolled KKR by 38 runs. RCB's new signings seem to have clicked well, with Glenn Maxwell delivering the goods. Harshal Patel has done extraordinary well at the death and has played an instrumental role in each of his team's wins.
Kohli has got decent starts in a couple of games but the talismanic skipper will be itching to play a big innings. Young Devdutt Padikkal, who impressed everyone last season, has also looked rusty and is yet to perform to his full potential. After two failures Rajat Patidar will, too, look to make amends. The RCB bowling department has been impressive with pacers Harshal Patel and Mohammed Siraj boasting economy rate of of 5.75 and 5.81 respectively. The former pulled the rabbit out of the hat with a five-wicket haul against MI while left-arm spinner Shahbaz Ahmed (3/7) changed the complexion of the match in just one over against the Sunrisers.
